Mill Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Overseeing and managing all mill operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Developing and implementing strategic production plans to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Ensuring correct targets are set based on the time and motion study.
• Ensuring discipline is implemented across the Mill.
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational
excellence.
• Ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards, identifying and addressing production issues
proactively.
• Optimizing machine efficiency and coordinating preventive maintenance with the engineering and
maintenance teams.
• Managing inventory levels and raw material procurement to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Collaborating with departments such as logistics, supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance to
ensure cohesive operations.
• Upholding and enforcing all safety protocols and environmental regulations to create a safe and
compliant workplace.
• Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization to enhance profitability.
• Training, mentoring, and developing staff to build a strong and motivated team.
• Leading and driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a paper
mill or a similar production setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across
departments.
• A deep understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance in manufacturing operations.
• A strategic mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
